From the Cafferty File: When it comes to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the hits just keep on coming. Some of the latest revelations surrounding John McCain’s surprise choice of a running mate: The Associated Press reports a private lawyer has been authorized to spend $95000 dollars of state money to defend Palin in the trooper ethics probe. Contrary to her message of reform, Palin worked to get pork barrel projects for her city and state. Also, according to the AP, her husband was once a member of the Alaska Independence Party, some members in that group advocate that Alaska secede from the Union. Also, the boyfriend of Palin’s 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter is expected to join the family at the GOP convention. The McCain camp is pushing back hard, calling questions about Palin’s background a “faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee” for VP and suggesting Palin is a victim of gender bias in the media. Where have we heard that before? They insist Palin was subject to a “long and thorough” vetting process. Really? The Washington Post reports that the head of McCain’s vetting team didn’t do an in-depth interview with Palin until the day before she was offered the number two slot. Some are wondering if Sarah Palin could turn out to be another Harriet Miers, a vastly underqualified woman who was nominated by President Bush to become a Supreme Court Justice. Miers later had to withdraw her name from consideration. Gee… there’s that …

Sunday, May 16th, 2010Well i’m in the 8th grade, and although it is really early to be thinking about my future, I was wondering what grades someone should be capable of getting to eventually become a lawyer? I already know about all the degrees and tests required to become one, i’m just curious about what kind of grades someone should be capable of getting to consider this profession. Thanks in advance.
How much should I be charge for having a lawyer to answer basic questions?
Sunday, May 16th, 2010I’m thinking about finding a lawyer, (attorney) that will help me with basic questions such as student loans, car buying contracts, etc… What type of fees do you think is reasonable? Is this what people mean when they say: to retain a lawyer? Also, if I find a lawyer that will help me with such, meaning I can call him or her at anytime reasonable and ask for him or her to look over a contract, will I have to pay a monthly fee or is it based on the work, or is it monthly fee plus hours work? Please help.
Free consultant..? What’s that. Do they follow the fiduciary rule? Do they work in my best interest? Thanks. I will definitely look in to it.
What kind of lawyer should I search for that deals with unmarried couples?
Friday, May 14th, 2010Hi, the thing is that me and my boyfriend bought a house, car and pay bills together. We broke up a while ago, and I was wondering what kind of lawyer I could look for that can help me with the legal matters of the house, since we’re both on the loan together, and I would like to put the house for sale or get out of the loan, since I don’t trust him; and for the car and stuff.
We were together for four years.
And I don’t really want us to sell the house and him keeping all the money, or him keeping the car (because his name is on the loan with mine, and I pay the car monthly)
I’m also from Georgia.

What type of Lawyer should I look into for a sexual harassment problem?
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010This happened for a period of 5 months. Do I still have a chance to do something about this. How can I go about affording a lawyer if that was the only job I had and right now I am struggling for money, since I rejected every sexual offer I was cut back from 40 hours a week to zero hours. Does anyone know how I should start the process. I am sick of feeling sick over what I had to go thru just so I could keep my job to provide for my two daughters.
