From the Cafferty File: When it comes to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the hits just keep on coming. Some of the latest revelations surrounding John McCain’s surprise choice of a running mate: The Associated Press reports a private lawyer has been authorized to spend $95000 dollars of state money to defend Palin in the trooper ethics probe. Contrary to her message of reform, Palin worked to get pork barrel projects for her city and state. Also, according to the AP, her husband was once a member of the Alaska Independence Party, some members in that group advocate that Alaska secede from the Union. Also, the boyfriend of Palin’s 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter is expected to join the family at the GOP convention. The McCain camp is pushing back hard, calling questions about Palin’s background a “faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee” for VP and suggesting Palin is a victim of gender bias in the media. Where have we heard that before? They insist Palin was subject to a “long and thorough” vetting process. Really? The Washington Post reports that the head of McCain’s vetting team didn’t do an in-depth interview with Palin until the day before she was offered the number two slot. Some are wondering if Sarah Palin could turn out to be another Harriet Miers, a vastly underqualified woman who was nominated by President Bush to become a Supreme Court Justice. My ex-business partner & I mutually used a lawyer when times where good. This lawyer stated on multiple occassions that he could not represent me or my partner against each other. However, now that times are bad, this lawyer is assisting my partner in trying to sue me. This lawyer has insider knowledge on me such as, assets, strategy, etc. I have financially compensated this lawyer and have invoices plus record of payment. What form do I file when my ex and her lawyer are withholding important information from me about my kids?Tuesday, April 20th, 2010
I have joint custody of my children but they live the school year in a different state. My ex & her lawyer continue to fail to inform me about issues involving my kids as well as their filing of an order to Affect Parent-Child Relations. I found out just in enough time to file a response that showed there was no justification for that and documented the fact that I was not given proper notice. They didn’t even show to their hearing for it. Also, the therapist is refusing to speak to me or provide me with any reports of my kids therapy although I stipulated in the Custody Agreement that I was to be given the same information the Mother is. Now my ex has moved to a new address in their town and I can not get the lawyer, my ex or the therapist to even return my call much less give the new address. I want to remain pro per and need to know what form to file against their negligence and refusal to provide information. What can I do to enforce that I am kept informed as stated in the orders?
