you call call teh bar assocairtion–they might be able to look through their lisrta ns see who is newly admitted
or try the nearest law school
If you are looking for a newly admitted lawyer, consider contacting your local BAR association; they have records for every lawyer admitted to the Bar, including the year in which they were admitted. They should be able to find you a lawyer who has been admitted this year or in very recent years.
When you say recently graduated lawyer, I’m assuming you mean recently admitted to the Bar, because a lawyer doesn’t just graduate from law school and start practicing law. They first have to endure months of studying and pass the BAR exam before they can represent a client. Just to clarify that point.
I will add, that if I were your friend I would reconsider hiring a lawyer that is so young in their career. Criminal law demands a certain knowledge and finesse in court that only a very seasoned attorney with years of experience can really handle efficiently. Think about it; a lawyer who’s been in the business for several years knows the ropes better than a newcomer; they know which arguments tend to work in courts, they know how to get what they need in terms of witness testimony, and they tend to garner better reputations from those in the legal field. Yes, you will probably pay more for a lawyer with more experience, but you’ve got a better chance of acquittals or reduced penalties in my personal opinion.
