  1. Reality has a Liberal Bias says:

Run for office, any office. Win that, do a good job, then run for the next higher office, and so on.

There are no books. Read biographies of politicians you respect.

  2. Coke says:

First off you do not need to be a Lawyer to be in politics. This is open to any citizen who has the right to vote.
First though is recognition within a area, town, school board , local city or county elected office.
Party workers on campaign staffs sometimes gain a upper hand by being known within a party.
The best way is through your beliefs and getting out and expressing them to people in the area you want to represent . Remember the job you are applying for is not for your enrichment or fame but to give a voice to the people who voted you to the office you seek

Since you have already sold your soul to become a Lawyer it should be easy!

  4. Curt J says:

You file your intention to run for office with the appropriate office.

Why do you think you need to be a lawyer to run for office?

  5. 2tweets says:

Get Big Money to back you and sell your soul and run for office

    1) Become active in your party’s state and county organization.

    2) Meet and work with the already elected state officials of your party.

    3) Make campaign contributions.

    4) pick out an elected official of the other party who’s position is weak.

    5) Ask for the party’s support if you run for the position.

    6) Get a good campaign manager and lots of volunteers.

    7) Raise lots of money.
    8) Conduct a better campaign than your opponent.
