How do I get my lawyer to get back into the courtroom and follow up on the jury findings?

The jury decided me as the sole conservator. The dad has supervised visitation. The only thing left is to follow up on his contempt for non-payment on his child support (going on two years now) and getting the judge to finalize the jury findings. How do I get my lawyer to get back into the courtroom and hold him accountable for non-payment of his child support as well as get the judge to finalize on what the jury decided? He’s owes over $6000 in child support.

Why are you paying the attorney to do it? Go to the AG office.

For those wondering about the comment on the Jury, Texas still allows Jury trials in custody cases. They are an effective tool for fathers falsely accused of abuse, and most often they are most female jurors. As such, I’m more apt to believe your claims than the usual ones I have heard in 21 years.

if your paying your lawyer tell him do his job or you will fire him an you wont owe him a dime. most states have a limit on the amount of child support that is deliquent before they incarcerate him.
