Interviewees include Mick Coyne, an up and coming musician, Korey Wilson, a young, star hockey player who has overcome severe birth defects, Amanda Figueiredo who is about to realize her dream of becoming a nurse, star soccer player Nick Figuieredo who has moved on to a more stable 9 to 5 job and his little sister Stephanie who recently competed on a statewide level in gymnastics, as well as Allen Woodward who has overcome an uninspired college career to realize his dream of becoming a lawyer, and finally Emily and Jordan Clements who are well on their way to successful competitive swimming careers. My lawyer wants a retainer fee I understand his charges per hour and I understand that a retainer fee is a flat rate to deduct these fees out of. But if you say pay $3000 and the lawyer works 2 hours on your case and he charges say $400 an hour do you recieve the $1800 back or does the lawyer just keep the whole sum? Thank you in advance

Tynan was the trial judge in 1987 when Atkins was convicted of second-degree murder and two counts of robbery and sentenced to 32 years in prison. Heather Weigand serves as the Life After Exoneration Program’s Director of Client Services and New Programs. She began modeling policy and service provision in 2005 for the exonerated in the Western Region of the United States. Currently, her efforts are directed to developing and providing exemplary services to the exonerated in California and Texas. This includes delivery of a regional policy & service model that can be replicated in states with the highest population of exonerees. In conjunction with her co-director, she oversees the board building, development, fund raising, advocacy, public education and lobbying efforts for this unique grass roots organization.
